Welcome to Calvary church, ‘a place to belong and be cared for.’ This Sunday come out and experience what makes Calvary an exciting Community Church. “We believe a great commitment to the Great COMMANDMENT and the Great COMMISSION will grow a great church!”

Calvary launched out with a new vision to ‘grow a large area wide church reaching hundreds for Jesus Christ.’ In order to achieve that objective we put in place a ‘purpose driven church model.’ This led us to several things:

1. Implementing a Purpose Driven church model.
2. Contemporary services to reach people today.
3. Periodic prayer summits. During our prayer summits were praying for revival personally, corporately and nationally.
4. Establishing HOME groups, Homes Open for Ministry and Encouragement that meet on a weekly basis.
5. Starting a Power Hour children’s’ ministry.
6. Establishing a task force to lead an extreme makeover for our building.

Most importantly Calvary church is a place for you to be cared for and to belong. The Holy Spirit revealed to us that we needed to take to heart the words of Jesus ‘that my house will be a house of prayer.’ We want to become a people who pray, believe God for great results, and then step out in faith. We endeavor to intentionally and systematically equip believers for ministry. Our goal is to turn every believer into an effective minister in the church and in the marketplace. Though this new emphasis is in its infancy, we are already experiencing the fruit of obedience!
